SPRING 2011 Body life Classes

 

How to RIghtly Study Your Bible...The Inductive Approach

In this body life class you will use the “Precept Upon Precept” inductive Bible study method to learn to study your Bible in a way that will help you understand God's Word, bring healing to your soul, and give direction to your life. With these methods you will learn to study the Bible in a very simple way and find a lifetime love for God's Word.

Mercy Triumphs, Lessons from James by Beth Moore (Ladies Study)

Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. 8 video sessions with 7 weeks of print study.

Second Peter and Acts

In 2nd Peter, Peter warns us to “watch out beware”, reminds us “remember don’t forget”, and promises “it will happen, count on this” expect Christ’s return. We will continue our study with the book of Acts.

 

This class is open to our community as all our classes are, to those who work on Sunday and to those who are involved in ministry in our Church and unable to attend an adult Bible Life class.

Israel's Light

“So Israel’s Light will be for a fire, and His Holy One for a flame.” Isaiah 10:17

 

Israel’s Light is a ministry to encourage and equip Christians to fulfill Romans 1:16 to witness to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. Israel must know that our G-d is a consuming fire. (Deuteronomy 4:24 & Hebrews 12:29) You will receive up-to-date information on what is happening in the land of Israel, first hand reports from guest speakers, tips on witnessing and other resources to aid in your understanding of Israel and our end times. Come be involved and receive the blessings of G-d!

Discerming the Voice of God by Priscila Shirer (Ladies' Study)

Priscilla Shirer provides a personal study experience of this Women's Bible Study. Having a hard time knowing what God is saying versus what others are saying? This Bible study is designed to help participants know the voice of God.

Honor Begins at Home

This compelling Bible study is based on the movie Courageous. It will take individuals and small groups deeper into biblical truths for a godly family, exploring topics such as redeeming your history, walking with integrity, winning and blessing the hearts of your children, and more. This class will start by watching the movie Courageous in the Worship Center on January 15th.

Hot Topics for Today's Parents

Join us as we discuss relevant topics and provide biblical solutions for today’s parents. This class will include topics such as children and salvation, purity, family devotions, family time, death, divorce, coping with major life change, trusting God, and more. Join us for all classes, or pick the topics that impact your family. Class will begin on March 25th following the Courageous Bible Study.

Like most American’s your diet is probably not as healthy as even you believe it should be.  This class is designed to look at our current health and eating habits and see the correlation between the two.  Wouldn’t you like to feel better and have a higher quality of life each day?  Wouldn’t you like to have a more naturally healthy lifestyle?  We will look at ways to eat better foods and to limit or possible eliminate the bad ones.  This class is open to all ages.

SPRING 2012 sunnyvale institute

 

Survival Guide to the New Testament

What you need to know about: Where, when & to whom were the books & letters written? What is the purpose and historical background of each book? How do we tie the New Testament together to reveal its authenticity? This is a 12 week course that will cover every book/letter of the New Testament.

Theology II (The Son and the Spirit)

This class will study the second and third persons of the Trinity, (the Eternal Son, and the Holy Spirit). We will study the deity, humanity, earthly life, resurrection and present ministries of Christ. We will also study the person and work of the Holy Spirit. This class is suitable for all adults, and qualifies for Sunnyvale Institute credit.
