Dr. Charles Wilson |
Senior Pastor Dr. Charles L. Wilson has been Senior Pastor of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church since 1990. Under his leadership here Sunday School attendance has grown from an average of 180 to over 2,000, with a membership of over 5,000. This truly shows his desire to reach Reach East Dallas County and Beyond for Christ. Dr. Wilson is the author of 9 books, and out of his love for hurting people, founded Life Builders Counseling Center in 2000. Dr. Wilson and Paulette have two children: Son, Chad (married to Wendy), and son, Jeremy. Brad Harrison |
Executive Pastor Brad joined the Sunnyvale staff in January 1999. He has served faithful in many roles and is excited to be part of such a wonderful ministry team. Brad received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2005, and received his Doctor of Management in Organization Management from Trinity Theological Seminary in January 2009. Michael Bridges |
minister of music Michael feels so blessed to be able to be a part of Sunnyvale. He and Debra have three grown daughters, Rachel, Leah, Laura Beth, and three granddaughters, Korbyn, Kelsey and Brinley. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University and also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Music has always been his passion, and he loves the thrill of hearing our church family sing. ADAM WEST |
Associate minister of Music & Orchestra Adam West joined our staff in January of 2008. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Music and Christian ministries. Adam loves to lift up the name of Jesus through worship and music. Adam and his wife Julie both have a valuable part in their ministry at SFBC. They both have a passion for worship and leading others into the presence of the Lord. God has entrusted two beautiful children in their lives, Bella and Drew. Knowing that God wants our lives to be an act of worship, Adam weaves the old hymns of the faith, with the new songs of today that will encourage and challenge those who want to follow Christ. Minister of Christian Education Kyle Kelley has been ministering to teenagers across Texas for 25 years. He loves Sunnyvale FBC, his family, Jesus, marathons, and football. He will soon be taking his gifts of leadership, encouragement, and humor to a different level as he begins working with the adult population of SFBC. Kyle graduated from Texas Tech and Southwestern Seminary. Minister to Senior Adults & Pastoral Care Dyrle Phillips came to know Christ when he was 15 years old at his pastor's home. He served faithfully as a deacon and lay leader throughout the years, but sensed that God was calling him into full-time ministry. His education and training help to hone his spiritual gift of administration to serve the body of Christ. minister to students Wes joined the Sunnyvale FBC staff in 2008 and has a strong passion to be used by God in leading students to know Jesus Christ and fall in love with His purpose for their lives. He is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2005 and received a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His wife, Brandye, serves alongside him in ministry and plays an important role in ministering to teenage girls. preschool minister & kingdom kids director Edwina Sullivan joined Sunnyvale in April of 2005 as the Director of the Kingdom Kids Preschool ministry and became the Preschool Minister in October of 2007. She is married to Mark and has three children: Alyssa, Brianna, and Hunter. College Associate & Visual Media A product of Sunnyvale’s own youth group, Jerrod accepted the call to the ministry and has taken on many opportunities to serve over the years from Drama Instructor to Youth Pastor Interim. He is involved with off campus mission efforts to reach the city of Dallas and across the United States.
