Senior Pastor Dr. Charles L. Wilson has been Senior Pastor of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church since 1990. Under his leadership here Sunday School attendance has grown from an average of 180 to over 2,000, with a membership of over 5,000. This truly shows his desire to reach Reach East Dallas County and Beyond for Christ. Dr. Wilson is the author of 9 books, and out of his love for hurting people, founded Life Builders Counseling Center in 2000. Dr. Wilson and Paulette have two children: Son, Chad (married to Wendy), and son, Jeremy. executive pastor Kyle Kelley has been ministering to teenagers across Texas for 25 years. He loves Sunnyvale FBC, his family, Jesus, marathons, and football. He will soon be taking his gifts of leadership, encouragement, and humor to a different level as he begins working with the adult population of SFBC. Kyle graduated from Texas Tech and Southwestern Seminary. minister of music Michael feels so blessed to be able to be a part of Sunnyvale. He and Debra have three grown daughters, Rachel, Leah, Laura Beth, and three granddaughters, Korbyn, Kelsey and Brinley. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University and also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Music has always been his passion, and he loves the thrill of hearing our church family sing. Associate minister of Music & Orchestra Adam West joined our staff in January of 2008. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Music and Christian ministries. Adam loves to lift up the name of Jesus through worship and music. Adam and his wife Julie both have a valuable part in their ministry at SFBC. They both have a passion for worship and leading others into the presence of the Lord. God has entrusted three beautiful children in their lives, Bella, Drew, and Levi. Knowing that God wants our lives to be an act of worship, Adam weaves the old hymns of the faith, with the new songs of today that will encourage and challenge those who want to follow Christ. business administraTor Scott has been a member of Sunnyvale FBC for the past 13 years. He spent 29 years in the corporate world, primarily in administrative management, before joining the Sunnyvale staff in 2011. He is overjoyed for the opportunity to serve this church. Minister to Senior Adults & Pastoral Care Dyrle Phillips came to know Christ when he was 15 years old at his pastor's home. He served faithfully as a deacon and lay leader throughout the years, but sensed that God was calling him into full-time ministry. preschool minister & kingdom kids director Edwina Sullivan joined Sunnyvale in April of 2005 as the Director of the Kingdom Kids Preschool ministry and became the Preschool Minister in October of 2007. She is married to Mark and has three children: Alyssa, Brianna, and Hunter. Jerrod McDaniel |
College Associate & Visual Media A product of Sunnyvale’s own youth group, Jerrod accepted the call to the ministry and has taken on many opportunities to serve over the years from Drama Instructor to Youth Pastor Interim. More recently, Jerrod has served as the Minister of Visual Media producing creative elements to help support the ministries of the church, and as the College Minister to help students and young adults find their purpose in Jesus Christ. He is married to his beautiful wife Krista who serves alongside him in the college ministry and in life. |

Rockey Smith |
Director of Technical Services Rockey was destined to be a technically-minded person. At the age of 3, his favorite toys were electrical cords and his father’s electric razor, which though improved, never quite worked again. He was born and raised in Newport, Arkansas and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a BA in Technical Theatre. Rockey was saved at the age of 9 and answered the call to ministry as a teenager. Rockey serves as the Director of Technical Ministries. Prior to that he was the Technical Services Manager at LifeWay Glorieta Conference Center and an ordained Deacon at Glorieta Baptist Church. Rockey lived on the road for several years providing sound and lighting for many different events. Rockey is married to Tammie, and they have two children, Joshua and Jessica. minister of missions Jim Packwood’s ministry oversight includes mission trips, off-campus work in the areas of homeless shelters, prisons, retirement homes, Hispanic ministries. church of the redeemed pastor John Luck is our pastor at “The Church of the Redeemed”, an out-reach ministry to the homeless and those who have come in contact with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He is involved with off campus mission efforts to reach the city of Dallas and across the United States.
