At FBC Sunnyvale, we are committed to the Christian ideal of believers that are growing in their faith and practice. This means they are learning more about God, themselves, and what it means to be a Christian, and they are living their lives according to what they have learned.
Because we live in a fast-pace world with crazy schedules, Sunnyvaledu is designed to offer you the opportunity to grow in your faith at home, at work, or in small groups off campus. This allows you to take classes that are flexible, self-paced, and fit your schedule. Anyone can grow as a disciple of Christ at anytime or anywhere through this virtual university.
How does it work? This semester we are offering ten video series that you can request online through our website. We will provide you the videos and the listening guide or workbook. The cost of the listening guide or workbook is listed on the course description. As you study the information either individually or in a group, you can email questions or comments to the Discipleship Pastor, Bob Landers. After you complete the study, simply return the videos. WOMEN'S STUDIES: Conversation Peace: The Power of Transformed Speech “Have you ever left a conversation feeling like shredded wheat? Stuck your foot in your mouth? Been at a loss for words? Conversation Peace provides a personal study experience five days a week plus seven 20-minute video teaching sessions. Mary Kassian masterfully present seven biblical principles to help women revolutionize their speech habits and positively avoid sharing gossip, throwing negative barbs, or snapping sarcastic replies throughout everyday life. Pursuing More of Jesus “If you want more than the bare minimum God has to offer you, if you want more than to be an average Christian, then join Anne Graham Lotz in Pursuing More of Jesus. In this dynamic study of God’s Word, you’ll spend time in the upper room with the disciples, receiving the teaching that Jesus poured into them on the night before His crucifixion.
