Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted with the ministries of our beautiful church family. As you tour our website, allow me to give you a snapshot of who we are. First Baptist Church’s Mission Statement simply put is to Reach East Dallas County and Beyond For Christ. Knowing to die without Christ is to spend eternity separated from God, our vision is about being in partnership with Christ for the Gospel. Our focus is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love people.

 

The goal of our church is to connect people to Christ and to other people through intentionally building an atmosphere where everyone knows that God loves them and they matter. Hopefully you will find more than a friendly church – you will find a friend. While we are a large church, you will sense an intentional effort and genuine concern for others.

When are the WORSHIP service times?

Sunnyvale offers a strong combination of solid biblical teaching and dynamic worship each weekend. We offer an early morning service on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. in The Lighthouse and our main worship time is Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:15p.m. in the Worship Center. We also offer a service on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in The Chapel. Visit our Weekly Schedule page for other activities throughout the week.

What SUNDAY SCHOOL classes do you have for me?

Classes are offered for all ages: babies, preschool, children, students, single adults and married adults. We believe it is vital to Christian growth to be connected to other believers. For more details, visit our Sunday School page or contact Kyle Kelley, Minister of Christian Education.

Do you provide CHILDCARE?

We offer loving childcare by caring volunteers and paid staff. All our childcare workers receive a background check before working with us. Children and parents are given matching stickers that are checked when leaving the facilities. Parents are also given pagers that are used to contact parents when needed. We offer childcare for babies and older.

WHERE is Sunnyvale FBC?

We are located in Mesquite, TX on Belt Line Road, 2.4 miles south of the I-30. For a map, please see our Directions page.

How do I JOIN?

Sunnyvale FBC is a family of believers that acknowledges Jesus as Savior and Lord.

 

You can become a member of Sunnyvale in one of four ways:

1. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and being baptized by immersion
2. If you have already accepted Jesus, but have not been baptized by immersion, then by following Him in believer's baptism
3. Transfer of membership by letter from another Southern Baptist Church
4. Statement of having previously accepted Christ and experienced baptism by immersion as a member of another Baptist or Bible church
