praise and Worship
Adam West, one of our Music Associates, works with Orchestra, Student Choir, Youth & College Worship. Adam also works with Becki Fuller, volunteer ministry leader to manage a rotation of volunteers to operate our Media Shout, Powerpoint ministries. Adam West joined our staff in January of 2008. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Music and Christian ministries. Adam loves to lift up the name of Jesus through worship and music. Adam and his wife Julie both have a valuable part in their ministry at SFBC. They both have a passion for worship and leading others into the presence of the Lord. Knowing that God wants our lives to be an act of worship, Adam weaves the old hymns of the faith, with the new songs of today that will encourage and challenge those who want to follow Christ. ...our senior adult choir, travels on the first and third Tuesdays sharing traditional music with residents of area assisted living/nursing homes. This ministry is one of service to encourage all those who participate. They gather at The Cross at 10:00 am where transportation is provided as needed. JImell Badry is the director of our senior adult choir. Jimell is a native of Lubbock, Texas, and graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He and his wife, Carolyn, have recently returned to Texas and are new members of our church. Bro. Badry has served in 9 churches in 56 years. One of his goals in music ministry has been in keeping church choirs alive. Contact Jimell for more information.

Rockey Smith, our Technical Minister, coordinates all of our staging, sound, lights and camera crews. The Tech crews cover many activities on our campus both in the Lighthouse, Chapel, Core Building, and Worship Center services. Contact Rockey for more information.
Kelly Collins is our volunteer Children’s Choir Coordinator and she is always looking for people willing to volunteer to help with Children’s Choirs that meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:00 pm in the Children’s Building Children’s Choirs ...are available for Preschool 4 & 5 year olds; 1st – 3rd graders; and 4th – 6th graders. Our children participate in weekly classes where they are taught basics of music and how to use their gift of song in worship. They also rehearse for musical performances throughout the year. Contact Kelly for more information. SMAK – Summer Musical Activities for Kids ...is a week of fun and learning as kids work to perform a Christ-centered musical for our church family. More information will be available on the web or you may contact Kelly. ... is a worship service designed by Pastor Bruce Kassab for children Pre-K through 2nd grade. They meet weekly in the Children’s Building at 9:35 am on Sunday mornings and runs concurrent with the Morning Worship Service in the Worship Center. Contact Pastor Bruce for more information. Sunnyvale Academy of Fine Arts ...purposes to provide quality music education in a positive Christian environment to all ages. Classes are offered in sewing, dance, home school music, piano, voice, elementary music, and beginning, intermediate, and advanced band. Our goal is to prepare our students for service, ministry and personal enjoyment through individual development of the performing arts. Our instructors hold degrees in their area of expertise or have extensive performance and teaching experience in their field. Each Academy Instructor has made a personal commitment of their lives to Jesus Christ, and is dedicated to providing an environment of encouragement and patience, while motivating each student toward excellence.
