The Light of the World
John's Gospel presents a unique Christmas story that begins in eternity past, revealing Jesus as the eternal light of the world. Unlike other Gospel accounts that start with the nativity, John emphasizes that Jesus existed before creation as the Word who was with God and was God. When Jesus came to earth, He brought divine light into spiritual darkness, offering life and hope to all who would receive Him. Though many rejected this light, those who believe in His name receive the right to become children of God. The incarnation represents God becoming flesh while remaining fully divine, embodying both grace and truth perfectly.
