Catch Me, If You Can

The story of Jacob deceiving his father Isaac reveals how deception can destroy family relationships across generations. When Isaac secretly planned to bless his favorite son Esau, Rebekah overheard and helped Jacob steal the blessing through lies and disguise. This family dysfunction created broken trust between father and son, and between brothers, forcing Jacob to flee for his life. Despite their scheming and manipulation, God's plan still unfolded as He had originally intended. The story warns us against pretending to have faith or trying to help God through deception, reminding us that authentic faith requires personal trust in God rather than borrowed spirituality.
