The Truth About Truth

It is easy to drift from truth when culture is loud and distractions are constant. In 2 Peter 1:12-15, the apostle Peter writes his final words to believers with one urgent goal: remember the truth, stay grounded in it, and pass it on. Writing near the end of his life, Peter understood that knowing the truth and staying rooted in it are two very different things. He committed himself to stirring believers up, like a spiritual alarm clock, so they would not be lulled into forgetting what matters most. Forgetting is not harmless. Small compromises, like grains of sand removed one at a time, can quietly erode the foundation of biblical faith before we even realize what has happened. The legacy Peter cared about was not fame or finances, but a faith passed on to the next generation. His challenge belongs to every believer: be diligent with the truth, and make sure the people around you are inheriting something worth holding onto.
