Nearly 2,000 years ago, the apostle Peter faced accusations that his message about Jesus was nothing more than a cleverly invented story. His response, found in 2 Peter 1:16-21, gives us one of the most compelling cases for the reliability of God's Word ever written. The Bible is supported by eyewitness testimony, miraculous preservation across centuries, the fulfillment of thousands of prophecies, and the transformational power it produces in human lives. It is not a collection of myths or religious speculation. It is the living Word of God, breathed out by the Holy Spirit through human writers, all pointing to one person: Jesus Christ. Because a day is coming when every person will stand before a holy God, taking Scripture seriously is not optional. It is urgent, personal, and eternal.
