Message: “Because He Said So” from Deron Biles

Jesus demonstrated unprecedented authority when He taught in the synagogue at Capernaum. Unlike traditional rabbis who quoted other teachers, Jesus spoke with His own divine authority that amazed the crowds. When a demon-possessed man interrupted His teaching, Jesus commanded the demons to be silent and leave, and they had no choice but to obey immediately. This encounter reveals that Jesus has authority over His word, through His judgment, by His power, and because of His holy nature. The people were amazed by Jesus, but amazement without submission is insufficient - He calls us to complete surrender to His authority.
